Competed in Cross Country and Track throughout High School
Have continued to run and race locally.  While focusing mainly on Road Racing, I have also competed in trail races of various distances.  Recently moved up to longer mileage races and Qualified for the Boston Marathon at the Fox Valley Marathon in Sept. 2013.  I will run the Boston Marathon in April of 2015.

A 6-time All-State recipient in High School Awarded the Gatorade Award for Premiere Prep Athletes in Illinois in 1990
Big 10 Freshman of the Year in 1991 at Illinois State
Big 10 Outdoor Male Athlete of the Year in 1994
A 3-time All-American in the 55m, 2-time All-American in the 4x400 relay
Continued to compete Professionally after college:
1996 - 5th at the USA Indoor Championships in the 60m
1996 - Semifinals at the Atlanta Olympic Track Trials
He has traveled and competed in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, St. Martinique and Greece. Career Best of 9.95 in the 100m.  

Coaching Highlights
Qualified athletes to the State Meet in the 4x400, 100m and 200m.

Competed in the 400-800 in High School.  
Still trains and competes in all events in the Tennessee Senior Olympics.  Has earned 7 gold medals,

Team Goals
1) My head coach and other assistants in developing SHHS Track and Field program to become THE ELITE, THE DOMINANT team in Northeast Tennessee.    
2) Develop our pole vaulters into the best in our area. Win Conference pole vault-girls and boys. Qualify as many as possible for the Sectional Pole Vault Competion.    
 3) Help the Sectional Qualifiers to compete at the STATE Meet and place in the top three (3)-girls and boys.    
4) Assist our TEAM in developing a TEAM UNITY and carrying it into the Conference Championships (girls and boys), and Sectional Championships.
Finally, help take as many HILLTOPPERS to the STATE to be able to FINISH 1st in the STATE as a TEAM.
